Here are the various logo types available
Word mark
A wordmark consists entirely of text. Wordmarks work best when the name of the business is very distinctive. Text-only logos are great if you have a short, memorable or quirky name. A wordmark will very clearly communicate your company name.

Letter mark
Lettermarks can be beautifully simple, highlighting the organisation’s initials rather than their full name. Using a lettermark logo design assigns equal visual weight to every word in your name, and can make it easier for people to remember.

Brand mark
A brand mark is a symbol or icon that appears often is a stylised format. A symbol can sometimes express certain ideas more effectively than text, however is generally only effective for high-profile companies.

Combination mark
56% of the top brands’ logos incorporate both text and a symbol. They spell out the name of a company while simultaneously associating it with a visual icon, giving you the best of both worlds. Text is positioned outside the icon.

Emblem
Emblems involve placing text inside of a symbol. This is what makes them different to combination marks. Emblems are a bit on the inflexible side, since they can’t be separated into individual elements, and may not work well in small sizes.
